How to play
Three rules. Try them on this small board.
- The number beside each row and column is how many stones it holds.
- No two stones may touch, even diagonally.
- Grey squares are given. Some are stones, some are empty.
Start with any square: tap it once for a stone, twice for a dot meaning "no stone here".
That's it. The daily board is 6 by 6 and takes one to three minutes. Play today's Nokkle
Tips
- A row or column with a 0 is empty: mark it with dots.
- Once a stone is placed, all eight squares around it are empty.
- When a row's remaining blanks equal the stones still needed, they must all be stones.
- Every puzzle has exactly one answer and can be solved by logic. If you are guessing, look for a row or column you have not used yet.
Keyboard: arrow keys move, Space cycles, S places a stone, X a dot, Backspace clears. Screen readers announce each square and its state.
